The one Pakistani!

Think bigger, be perseverance and steadfast, set your missions according to your vision, carry on going running over the hindrances and obstacles until you get to your destiny. Do something that not only do you feel proud of yourself but also the people surrounding you feel proud of you.
This is a bitter fact that everyone does not successfully reach where he or she has actually wanted to, since his or her childhood. He gives up, but have you ever thought, why? Because he or she has never clear vision or because he is stopped by the people’s saying,

                                                                   ‘You can't do this.’

You should remember one thing,
‘If there is will, there is no can't.’

If one great Pakistani MM Alam had not had will, he would never have made the history to destroy four air crafts in jiffy.
Had Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan not thought like a bold man, Pakistan would not be in the list of atomic power countries. It is rightly said,

                                                            ‘Be bold, change the game.’

If we have a glimpse at the miracles of Pakistanis, we will run out of ink but these stars' names will endlessly be in the queue.
If one Pakistani can become the hope of mankind, why can you not be the second Dr Abdul Sattar Edhi?
Why can one of you not become another Dr. Abdul Salam, the revolutionary scientist?
The melody of Begum Noor Jahan and the fascinating voices of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan are seeking anxiously the next ones to proceed further the incredible history and journey of music.
Can another Pakistani child become Arfa Karim Randhawa the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional who achieved it at the age of nine only?
Who will be the next Jahangir khan and Jaan Sher Khan? The flabbergasted rulers of the world of squash.
Remember! You are Pakistanis, you can do miracles, only you need to have will, yes will power.
One Pakistani Moeen Ali Nawazish got 22 A out of 24 and got his name recorded in the Guinness book of world records. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy is gaining widespread plaudits and was rewarded Oscar award; a Pakistani women, first Pakistani ever!
Namira Saleem raised Pakistan's flag on the top of North and South poles and became first Asian to skydive over Mount Everest.
Yet again Pakistani, Twinkle Sohail won gold medal in Asian power lifting championship.
The first lady firefighter in Pakistan Shazia Parveen took initiative.
Samina Baig, a Pakistani high attitude mountaineer climbed the Mount Everest.
And one and only the fighter pilot Marium Mukhtar, hats off her! In fact hats off them all the ones Pakistanis who have been pride for Pakistan and who are the living and true models for them who really want to be the ‘One Pakistani'.

Bravery, wisdom, intelligence, steadfast, patience, hard work, sincerity, zeal and of course will power have been the weapons of Pakistanis.
In many different fields  Pakistanis have left their marks but there are many other fields look forward to welcoming one Pakistani to shine as star.  And you should be the next this time. Yes Who you are, the one Pakistani.

How I am !!!

How I am!

I am on my way home, I have a glimpse at two people quarreling and abusing each other, I just overlook them and go ahead. After a few steps I have to see a person lying on the pavement under the shadow of sun’s scorching beams, I just keep on moving-ignoring him.

I get on the bus and meet a pugnacious conductor asking Rs. 16 instead of Rs. 15 for bus fare, I argue but he is very obdurate so I have to give him Rs. 1 extra (a large amount) reluctantly. Meanwhile I see some men get into ladies’ portion, sometimes I do too under compulsion, and it is not that much bad I think!

I see some people selling drugs and unhygienic things but I never try to interrupt because neither I am buying these sorts of things nor I worry about the teenagers and youth who are willingly or unwillingly addicted. I never raise my voice against it.

I saw before few days an old man standing at the bus stop at about 12 am but how would I give him lift on my bike? He did not belong to me!

I usually see children begging at the bus stops, outside my university where I study, I just ignore them or sometimes appreciate them having paid some pennies, but I never try to think of their background gang.

When I watch the news I see and I believe, I never try to find the other hidden side of the pictures-reality-fact.

I just see and believe, why do I not observe? Why do I not research? Why do I not ponder over the surrounding happenings and occurrences?

All these questions revolve only around one work “I”.

Exactly, sometimes I think because of my alive conscience……….How I  am!!!

Boycott the silence!

Boycott the silence!

If you do not say now, you will never say it any longer, you will keep repenting, “I wish I would have said it all.”

It is secondary to decide “how to say” but first step is to intend and decide to raise your voice for your rights. And the rights that are fundamental must be provided. If these are not provided and you remain quiet-you do not speak up-you are ok in this tyranny so nobody is either going to help you out or get you rid of this trouble.

You do not have idea it is actually darkening your future.

Boycott the silence and pick up the mike and pen and say it all. Keep saying, keep protesting until or unless you are listened and your rights come in your right hands.

It is my belief and common truth that when injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.

When I see I see the sea of tears!

When I see I see the sea of tears!

·        *  In the eyes of daughters and sisters who are not given their fundamental rights to live their lives…
·        * In the eyes of parents whose unlucky children are disobedient and squander the chance to get heaven…
·         * In the eyes of men who go out of their homes for earning bread but become the victim of terrorism…

·        * In the eyes of students who cannot afford the expenditures of their educations and eventually they give up…
·        * In the eyes of father who cannot fulfill his children’s needs and unable provide dowry to his beloved daughter…
·        *  In the eyes of mother who keeps sacrificing in her whole life but in return she faces isolation…
… when I see ….

I see the sea of tears in the eyes of every human in my society …

Friends:

Friend is a priceless gift from almighty God for us. With friend life goes on along with joys, funs, and enjoyments. If there are no friends, our lives are like curry without salt, sweet without sugar.
Friend is like a flower among thorns. The thorns are your enemies. But when your enemies intend to touch you-harm you, friend becomes thorn and protect you and do not let your enemies touch you.
A friend is actually nearer to you than even your family. Because you share each and every secret of yours with your friend. A friend is actually your secret keeper. He is your close one and best one.

There are several sorts of friends: close and best friend, childhood friend, school and college friend and nominal friend. A person is not your friend who is not trustworthy for you-he is just your nominal friend. Because friendship means trust and understanding as well as support. If there is no trust, there is no concept of friendship at all.

“A friend in need is a friend indeed.”

Yes! A true friend never leaves you in the lurch. He stands for you, bucks you up, encourages you and appreciates you in every circumstance. He tries to sort out and resolve your problems. He makes efforts to get you untangled from the web of difficulties and woes.

A friend never lets you be alone. He is always with you in every situation. He enjoys your red letter days. He stands for you and stays with you during your rainy days.
Sometimes, because of your friend, you have to face the music at your home. But this is also the beauty of life that you wander about with your friend, have fun and enjoy every moment of your life.
This is your friend who enjoys and celebrates every success of yours and holds parties. In case of your failure he feels blue, encourages you and puts the consoling arm around your shoulders. And when you fail and fall down, he lifts you up and provokes you to have a second bite of cherry.
If you cry, he consoles you and tries to make you smile. If you are happy so he is. And if you are sad so he is.
Sometimes friend gets jealous and resentful when you do not attend him, when you do not give him company.
When there is nobody around you, there is your friend. When everybody is around you except your friend, you miss him; you are alone-In the presence of all, you look for your fiend. In the presence of all you really miss him because he is not around you. You really feel alone and feel like meeting him and complaining him why he is not with you. But he is with you because he is your friend.

He is always with you whether he is awake or not, whether he has breathes or not, whether he is more or no more. You can feel him beating in your heart. You can see him smiling in your memories. You can notice him celebrating your success and observing your woes. And whether your friend is not with you, he is far away from the earth where nobody can get back from; you can listen to him saying,
“I am still with you
Because
I am your friend”

Dedicated to all my friends who are really my friends

A soul towards the sky, a high flyer: Umaid Ali Shah

"No matter the many paths you change, the matter is each path should lead you towards your vision"
"Life should be led with happiness."
"In Pakistan one has to be multi-talented"

These sayings are of the person who has been the symbol of hard work, perseverance, sincerity, multi talent and Jack of all trade Umaid Ali Shah. He is senior sales executive in AM developers and running his side business too. People consider him a successful person. How can this man not be called a successful person who sacrifices throughout his life showing his multi talent, steady attitude and working day and night for his family? His life justifies this complement for him "jack of all trade" because of working as versatile.
"I learned from the sufferings and sorrows of my life but I always smiled and still I smile." (Shah)
He was born on 4th Feb 1981 in Kandyaro, district Noshero Feroz, division Sukkar. He belonged to a poor family. They are five brothers and two sisters. That time his father was the sole bread winner for the whole family. His elder brother did not use to work because he was studying and he lived with his maternal grandfather. Shah has only one elder brother and rest are younger than him.

In 1996 while he was 15, he started earning bread as a teacher. He earned Rs.200 monthly. It was the time when his whole family banked on his father. He was number 2ndin his family. Shah's family was suffering from hand to mouth. Shah could not see his family surviving. Therefore he intended to strive as much as he could reach the position where he can lead his family comfortably and happily. He had the wish that his younger siblings and he also get education. He left his teaching job after 6 months and got a job as QC in a cotton factory. But it was seasonal job that is why he had to find another job. In connection to this, in 1997 he went to Larkana and got a job as shop keeper in cosmetics shop. During this period he carried on his studies too. He had completed matric with A+grade and was the student of FSC in Pre medical. He worked in the shop after college hours and earned Rs.1200 monthly. It was very difficult for him to survive without family, carry on education, work and earn. But he was a symbol of perseverance.

21st Aug 1998 was the day when his father left him crying and thinking about his family. "After the death of my father I totally led my family. On his funeral I was consoling my family. I was not only in the grief of my father's death but also in tensions how to lead my family now." He further stated with the tearful eyes "After that incident we shifted totally in Larkana from Kandyaro. There I became the medical representative at Manrich Laboratory." While taking deep breath and drinking water he carried on saying, "I visited the doctors in the entire Larkana on foot because I needed to save every single penny. I had only 1 pent and two shirts that I used to wear them every other day."
According to him it has been our ancestors' history to work hard and achieve goals. In fact they had more woes and hindrances in their lives. He said that he got inspired by the "Shuhada-e-Karbala" who remained steadfast and sacrificed their lives on the right path.” He said that his life's theory is based on history of Karbala. This is what encouraged him to step forward.

In Oct.1999 after consistent hard work he got the fruit in the shape of a private job in "Bhutto state Fuel Station". This belonged to the Bhutto family. As a manager he performed his duties and earned a handsome amount of salary. Now his life took U turn and his family rose. His siblings and he started studies. He completed his B.S.C in 2003 and afterwards M.A in sociology in 2005. He continued this job as a manager by 2007 and then due to some problems had to leave. After that he took a bold decision and opened a fuel station on contract with the partnership of his two friends. But could not succeed and had to close it on no loss no profit in 2008. After that his life's struggle went on and he started his services at Parisson Inn Hotel by 2009. Where ever and whenever he got good opportunities he availed them.

He thinks "Unless luck and God are with us we cannot get through." But he explained that luck and God are always with the person who endeavors. Furthermore he started free lancing business for the fuel station. And once he worked for Total Company in 2009 in Karachi. Since that time he has been doing this business too. He has worked as Logistic Procurement Merchandiser too.

Now he has been performing his services as senior sales executive. And he has his side business too. By the grace of God and by his ceaseless hard work and efforts his both two sisters have got married and two brothers too. He has bought his own house like a palace for him in Larkana. Now still he is on the path where he wants to go for the best. As he says the dialogue of a film:

"میرے بارے میں اتنا مت سوچو، میں دل میں آتا ہوں سمجھ میں نہیں"

Now he is enjoying his life. He joins parties, goes visiting and likes being with other people. He listens songs too and is a bit interested in poetries.
He spent his life's 35 years for taking care and managing his family. Now he is happy with this. And now he is independent and very much satisfied but one is missing in his life. "I did not have time to think of my marriage. I focused on my vision. Now soon I am going to get married."
Finally he said a couplet from Parveen Shakir's:

اس شرط پہ کھیلونگی  پیا  پیار کی   بازی
جیتوں تو پاوْں تجھے، ہاروں تو میں تیری

Streets Beggars

• Are they really needy or well trained professionals?
• Where is our government?
• Where are our welfare societies?
• What is our society doing?

Karachi is metropolitan city and among the biggest cities of the world. It is economical hub of Pakistan and the biggest city of our motherland. It is the capital of Sindh. Seaport and airport are its outstanding features. In spite of all above characteristics Karachi is the pub of problems.

One of them and a big problem which needs to be eradicated is street begging. Karachi city is fully business city. Here each and every kind of business is run so does street begging. Some actual deserving needy people come out of their homes and ask money, food and clothes for living their lives but among these needy ones many of them have become professionals. Now in fact they can earn bread but they are addicted of begging. They beg as they do jobs. They wake up early in the morning and get to their targeted places and start begging. In the buses, at the signals, on the roads and in the markets they do their work (bagging). Moreover, they train their children and send them to different areas to beg. Well trained children are found in the streets, on the roads, in the buses, in the markets, in the food streets. Professionally they do this work and collect enough amount of money. It has become their business to stand and make people listen their same domestic story so that people would have sympathy for them and they would earn money.

A six-year old girl asks money in such a very polite way as she has been trained well and almost every child beggar has the same words to ask money; like, “I am orphan, I have younger brothers, sisters, nobody is earner in my family, my mother is sick, and she needs money for treatment…...” Somehow these things are true too but not every beggar is true. Some are really needy, but many of them are professionals because their elders are shirker and bone Idle. And some of them have become victims of the business groups which are based on street begging. As it has been shown in the Bollywood movie “Slum dog millionaire” There must be severe actions against these cruel who make the children disable and handicap for their begging purpose.

Where are our authorities? Where are our welfare societies? Is this not the matter that must be looked after by our welfare societies regardless “Dastarkhuan” program? Is this not the work of our welfare societies and human rights organizations to provide shelter to the innocent and compelled people street beggars? These welfare societies have made the record in the world to have the largest ambulance services in Karachi. So can they not do something to remove street begging from this city? If the welfare societies can make the people eat meal and they spend millions of rupees in these sorts of programs so can they not do something for street beggars? Yes, they can get the jobs provided to them; they can help them financially to open their own small businesses even.

Children are actually the future of any society, if they are begging in present so what will be the future of this present? This is my humble request to the government, concerned authorities (if there is any) and welfare societies to make plan, join hands and convert these street beggars into workers. And children who are begging, who are wiping the windows of vehicles should be granted stipends and free education. Vocational training should be provided to them with education so that they would be able to work and earn, not beg and earn.

Public Transport of Karachi City:

Metropolitan City’s citizens are in trouble!

Karachi is a metropolitan city. No doubt it is economical hub and the biggest city of Pakistan. Since it is the biggest city of Pakistan it is one of the biggest cities of the world. It is Pakistan’s one of the leading industrial cities and the capital of Sindh too.

It is fully congested and thick populated city therefore it is suffering from many issues and problems. Here millions of people travel by bikes, millions of people travel by their own conveyances and a huge number of Karachi citizen travel by public transports. In a manner of saying there are many buses and mini buses which people travel by. But it is a bitter truth that people are suffering from the shortage of transports. Numbers of the passengers are far higher than the numbers of buses.

In the morning and evening time passengers gather at the bus stops to jump into the bus, hang on the bus and even many of them hang on the doors on their one foot. This could cause nasty accidents. Apart of this many passengers remain standing on their stops waiting for another bus as a result they fail to reach their jobs on time consequently they have to face the salary deductions. In the morning and evening time a huge crowd of passengers suffer in buses. The crowd reflects honey comb in the buses.

The buses are fully packed to the capacity and this becomes really very difficult for the passengers to get on and get off the bus. Passengers thrash each other to make room for them. In addition to this men break into the lady’s compartment and travel. Actually they are also compelled to do so because they have to reach their destinations on time.
Time is money. If timely work is executed then every city develops itself like other developed cities of the world. This is also one of the reasons that Karachi city is not a developed city despite of being the biggest city of our beloved motherland Pakistan.

It is necessary to highlight how women suffer and face difficulties while traveling in buses. They feel troubles and problems to catch the bus because their compartment is already packed to the capacity with men. Moreover buses’ drivers mostly don’t stop buses for women. It is really the point to be pondered over.

Time is money but for the buses’ drivers and conductors it is nothing. They keep standing at their particular stops for long time and waste their and passengers’ precious time. Passengers reach their homes very late at night so they don’t have time to do any social activities or social work as a result good society is not founded.

Sometimes it’s seen the drivers or buses’ conductors and passengers quarrel each other because of extra fares. Additionally very bad behavior of the conductors is also the cause of quarrels between them and passengers. They consider passengers as cattle and some rude or rowdy passengers consider conductors and drivers as their servants. Well, it takes two to quarrel. Intolerance is at the peak. If somebody is pushed, touched or thrashed a little, they start quarreling and calling names. Nobody possesses tolerance.

Less numbers of the buses as compare to plenty of passengers are causing serious problems. Who will resolve and sort out these problems. Of course the concerned authorities must constitute a team to ponder over this matter and take some bold and effective steps to get over these problems.

Numbers of the passengers cannot be lessened but new buses and new mini buses ought to be provided to Karachi for the sake of its citizens.

Vacancies!!!

Are they really hiring???

Pakistan is suffering from many issues, but unemployment is one of the most dangerous issues of this democratic country.

In this independent country all business organizations, companies and co-operative societies have freedom and rights to select candidates on their merits. But unfortunately not only are the government institutions corrupted in the selections of employees but also the private sector is playing with the emotions, feelings and the futures of our beloved country’s youth.

Today it is not necessary to discuss government departments because most of the private firms and institutions are now vultures like. They (Pvt. Co.’s) advertise in newspapers for vacancies and ask candidates to report along with all necessary documents within limited and given time period and date. So far the things are in order and seem normal and decent. But when the candidates are called for final interviews they are asked references. If any other incompetent candidate has reference of an influenced person or he has the relation with the concerned authorities, he is easily selected and hired for the given post. But what about other candidates who have no references but qualifications, competencies and abilities to work far better than the hired person!

It seems just a process to recruit but in fact the selection is already done and decision is already made. These are not only my sayings nor are these out of reality.
This example was seen in one of the most well-known and the biggest pizza food company when they call the candidates for jobs at their “Five Star Karachi” branch having short listed the C.V’s. The candidates reached there at sharp 10 am according to the given time.

Dear readers! You cannot believe that all the candidates had to wait for 6 hours by around 2:30 pm without any refreshments. And afterwards they were told that the manager was busy and couldn’t attend their final interview so they had to report there again the next Thursday. And they were sent back their homes.
What is this? Is this recruitment?

Dear readers! In connection to this one more intolerable point needs to be shared with you; before sending the candidates back to their homes an assistant manager of that pizza company came shaking his car keys and showing arrogance. He sat before all the candidates and said that all the candidates had to work in their Bahria Town branch which was newly established there. And moreover that arrogant assistant manager told the candidates the salary package would be Rs. 9000 per month for waiters and kitchen assistants’ jobs.

What is this? Is this recruitment?

Is this not less than the minimum salary package decided by the government? They might have forgotten the minimum salary is Rs. 13000 per month according to the government.
But this big company is hiring the staff at lower package and taking advantage of their unemployment and compulsions.

The purpose of my writing is not to defame or blow upon any firm or organization. My motive actually is to make the readers aware of this atrocity. We keep crying because of unemployment but how can it be eradicated without making changes in the firms’ recruitment systems?

In conclusion our government and private both sectors’ recruitment systems have to be free from injustice and prevented from nepotism and favoritism. In this regard a free and fair team or an institute must be constituted for checking and auditing the firms and companies independently so that right and actual amount of salary package could be offered to all employees and competent candidates could be selected.

Final Destination

Life seems very easy and heaven to only a few people among the entire mankind but actually life is as difficult as to climb up the top of the Mount Everest.

Life is the name of struggle. In life a person has to face sorrows and happiness, grieves and joys, up and down.

Life is not a bed of roses. Many thorns are anxiously waiting for you to injure you and stop you to succeed. Life sets off its journey form the birth and leads you towards the final destination.

Your life’s journey decides and chooses your final destination. As a matter of fate final destination starts with the death of a person but as a matter of fact final destination is where you are ruling in the hearts and in the minds of the people.
You are still alive; this is your final destination in fact you are asleep because you are no more in the world. But actually yes you are alive because your thoughts and theory are awake in people’s minds.

Yeah! You are alive because your deeds are remembered and remarkable. You were alive and you are! And surely the future is yours when everybody is going to blow your trumpet.

That is what a person wants, that is what I want and that is what you should be thinking to have this final destination which starts after death but goes on till the end of the whole mankind.

And on that stage you rule and govern in the people’s hearts and minds. Although you are no more but you are alive, you exist and you dominant the mankind.

In conclusion, personally I believe the final destination is where you reach the optimum level of your satisfaction. But as far as optimum level is concerned, it should be vast. If it is vast, you surely will get through in every path of your life and of course having defeated all the hindrances and obstacles in the journey once you will get to your final destination.

You the Only Reason...

You know why I exist,
why I am happy in spite of suffering from many agonies,
why I am successful after many failures. You know why I feel like stepping up,
moving forward although I am in comfort zone.

You know why I keep smiling in tensions too, why I want to do many more despite of possessing many more. You know why I never want to give up even though many thorns injure me. You know why I like the good things which I used to dislike ever.

Why ? yeah you are the only reason, it is just because of you that I exist, I am happy, I am successful. You are actually the only reason that I am smiling, I am dreaming to fly high.

And yeah! You are the only reason that I am going to fly high as much high as I touch the sky. When I am wounded you heal me. When I am alone you are with me. When I am worried so you are the reason. When I cry so you are the reason. If I laugh it is just because of you. Whatever I have, whoever I am, wherever I am you are the only reason.

And do you know who you people are? You are not only one “you”, You are my parents, You are my siblings, You are my teachers, You are my friends Yes you are my well-wishers. I love you all. I care for you all. I never want to miss you because I never want to lose you and I always want to have all of you around me. And actually, thank you all.
